John McGlynn

John is a native of Glasgow, Scotland, and began his career in 1975 working in the claims department of the local authority bus company, before moving to Sun Alliance and London Insurance plc. He has worked variously for Chartered Loss Adjusters, London Brokers, and Lloyd’s Managing Agents and is currently employed with AXA XL in London specialising in Delegated Authority regulation and compliance. An inveterate student he holds insurance qualifications from the UK and Australia, as well as being a qualified internal auditor, and is presently studying for a Professional Certificate in Compliance, from the awarding body, University College Dublin.

Katarina Marie

Katarina is a (re)insurance professional and has spent 6 years at SwissRe working in Client Markets teams, originating, and renewing reinsurance treaties in BeNeLux, France and Africa. She then moved to the direct insurance space and completed her CPCU and ARe designations. In 2017, she joined CelsiusPro and specialized in parametric insurance, agricultural and NatCat lines and microinsurance as Senior Insurance Consultant. Katarina comes from Bratislava, Slovakia.

Matthias Pickave

Matthias was born in Germany. He studied Business Administration at the University of Augsburg (Germany) and has a MBA from the University of Dayton (Ohio, USA). Matthias started his career in an analyst development program at Progressive in Cleveland. In 2010 he joined Munich Re. Since then he gained expertise in corporate reserving, controlling and as chief of staff. Since 2017 he is working as a Casualty Underwriter. Matthias is a 2018 CPCU designee.
